True Womanhood
I took this topic from one of my bible study classes. The Book of Titus chapter 2 refers to the attributes of integrity and moral etiquette that a woman should possess.
Titus 2:3 Teach older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good.
As I reflect on my past behaviors I think about the very poor example I gave to my daughter on what a woman should be.
I defined womanhood on the everyday hustle of life. Maintain your household, clothe your children, feed them, work as hard as you can, further your education, build femances, and by all means secure a MAN!!
You may read this and say well what’s wrong with having those goals, nothing of course, if you’re living by the will of God.
How many women in society accomplish all of these things, but yet are so poor in spirit and happiness? How many failed marriages and domestic violence issues do you see festering behind white picket fences and ironclad mansions?
What example of morality do young women have today? Atlanta Housewives, Love and Hip Hop, The Bachelor. It’s pathetic how in these television shows you see women of wealth and accomplishments, yet they degrade one another by cursing each other and competing and dressing in such a provocative manner, labeling it high fashion, and let’s not forget the physical assaults. Is this really the mixed signals we want our daughters and granddaughters to receive?
In my past, I portrayed myself falsely. I presented myself as a woman who had it together on the outside, putting on this front for people like I had it all together. My life was one big lie!
In the dark of night I crept into drug houses to take away the shame, pain, bitterness, and extreme hurt I harbored in my soul. How I could hide so well from others. None of the things of the world could fill the huge void inside of me.
Until I found Christ.
Now I know I’m loved, forgiven. It’s a pure love and guidance from God that no earthly man or thing could fulfill in my life. When I realized who I am in Christ Jesus, there came a great sense of royalty and honor for myself I never had before. Joy even in this dry place in which I’m imprisoned. I know now I’m destined for bigger things through Jesus Christ. I’ve learned to respect myself, and low-self esteem has been defeated.
How many young girls had poor examples of what womanhood is about? Will the real women of Christianity and all faiths stand up and be beautiful Godly examples of true womanhood?
Proverbs 31:25- She is clothed with strength and dignity.
Proverbs 31:30 Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
1 Peter 3:3-4
Your beauty should not come from outward adornment such as braided hair and wearing of gold jewelry and fine cloths.
Instead it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit which is of great worth in God’s sight.

WOMEN
Every human being needs to know that each of us had to be nourished inside of our mother’s womb for nine months and without her, none of us would be alive and never born. The special place in creation that a woman takes is extraordinary. The long journey that is taken to produce you is painstaking and often times she loses her life bringing us into existence. Every birth is a potential death.
Women are our first countryside and first teacher. She is your only comfort in the beginning of your life and all too often she is your only foundation in developing your character. Women’s Month means so many important reasons why we should become intimate and conscious with our daily contact and relationships with Women. There is a song by James Brown singing the THIS IS A MANS WORLD BUT WITHOUT A WOMAN THERE WOULD BE NOTHING. The MEANING is well taken, but the concept is not insufficient. Women are the sources for conveying LOVE into the moral education of the child. If this first introduction is lacking, the innocent child may never develop the necessary empathy for others. This lack of compassion is the very mentality dominating the political, judicial, and social systems in the nation. The history tells us the rules, regulations, constitution and all other agencies, and regulatory laws have been established by European males. Women have been left out, and treated as an insignificant female who has no opinion worthy of concerns. The male dominance has left our nation with a character for war, prejudices, greed, violence as a solution to almost all problems. Male dominance has caused a entire population to believe that punishment and massive imprisonment is the only solution to human drama. Women have never been at the initial stages in developing the systems. For the worst, our nation is morally bankrupt, and unwilling or unable to admit, that perhaps WOMEN should be allowed to overhaul these violent systems.
Our entire political and economic system was constructed without women. Women would bring love, compassion, empathy into the personality of governing society. This natural substance is needed in order to have balance. Women’s History Month means that each human being is made up of his mother’s DNA AND father. Does this suggest that every man is part female in his humanity? Each man has some of his mother’s traits. This biological facts requires reflection, respect, honor and admiration for All Women. We could and should do something special for a number of women in our lives even if it is just a phone call to say, thank you for being understanding and kind to me. Any words of respect and appreciation will make a woman feel some value. Every woman should know she is important part of society because she creates peace and sanity throughout the daily life. I pray that one day men will realize the worship of war. rape, oppression, racist, sexism and crime and weapons of mass destruction was organized by men. We need Women to undo the inventions made by mad scientists, who worship greed, domination over everyone, especially women! Women’s history month reminds me of my mother and three sisters and how they applied love and spoiled me lovingly. Particularly I honor my grandmothers who made me their favorite. I truly enjoyed the Great Women in my life, including the wives who I experienced awesome love! I would like to say our continued journey enhances the understanding that Women are our most cherished resources and we have abused it, disgraced her, used her as a toy, and we have even ruined and abused her children.
Women’s History Month is a rebirth to the commitment that Women is our partner without her, we will not exist or thrive. We need you.
