Change, real change, when are we going to bring it to fruition??? We already know that systemic racism exists. We already know that poor people in general and people of color are disproportionately being incarcerated. We already know that rehabilitated people are being over incarcerated. We already know that billions of dollars are being wasted on the failed “tough on crime” over incarceration tactics, instead of being earmarked for a better educational system, better housing, better nutrition and better employment opportunities. So, what are we going to do about it??? How long are we going to do the same things and expect different results??? How long are we going to keep being conned by politicians that tell us what we want to hear and do absolutely nothing for us??? How long are we going to keep registering with the same two political parties that does absolutely nothing for us??? When are we going to dump this political cycle on it’s head??? When are we going to effect real change? Our civil rights leaders fought for our Right to Vote, let’s use it.
